I’ll be wearing the Kiwa – High Performance Web logo proud as I train and aim for my first Marathon – The Mountain to Surf Marathon on March 7th 2015.
After hanging up the hockey stick, I started running about 18 months ago, and have completed three 1/2 marathon events so far in 2014. Each 1/2 was a big deal for me, and time to recover after was needed. Now as I train for the Marathon I’m going to be running the 1/2 Marathon distance and more every weekend (plus shorter runs during the week). Still getting my head around all that, but the challenge is exciting, and motivating.
A challenge for me is part of what makes life exciting, it is what drives me and in 2011 I decided I wanted my business to reflect more of what I was about. So I pulled my team together (accountant, bank manager, IT consultant, printer, graphic designer, business mentor….) to brainstorm and come up with ideas to re-brand our business – keeping the name Kiwa but defining what we were about, our point of difference.
After a couple of sessions and analysing things such as personality, values, identity, my promise and concepts, the following commonalities came up, and it was these that ended up forming the brand traits;

- High Performance
- High Achieving
- Easily understood
- Seeking improvement
- Ease of transaction
- Client focused
So if you’ve ever wondered how we came up with Kiwa – High Performance Web… it’s not just a tagline we pulled from the sky that sounded good, it comes from my founding pedigree of high-performance based activities which flows through to my sense of wanting to seek improvement and success for my clients.
